Heritage Quest

I have been on this site for hours. (Well, this site and Google, and others as I search for information about my own family.) I haven't found anything really valuable to me, personally, on Heritage Quest but I'm finding a lot of information from the Census reports and information about the city where I was born. What I've learned is that if I'm going to do a search I should talk with relatives first. It's really hard to get good information when you have very little to start off with. Part of the problem is that I could only get Census information from before 1930 and I don't know very much from that far back.
