Net Library 1

I really struggled with this resource and still haven't had any success. I've used Net Library while in college, so I'm really frustrated that I'm not going anywhere with it tonight. I tried the search term "yoga" and found some materials, but not what I'm looking for. I then tried some other terms, one of which was "literacy." I didn't get any worthy results. I find it unusual that there aren't more books on literacy. Finally, I tried the term "blogging." I got one title that seemed good. When I tried to view it I got a message that said there has been an error and Net Library will make a note of it. In the meantime, I have nothing after all this time. I give up.

  1. Kim, I am so sorry for your frustration and appreciate your honest comments. A full-text search of yoga yielded me over 1,000 results. A keyword search yields 13, and these are more along the "how-to" line, including the Idiot's Guide to Power Yoga. I get 51 results for a keyword search of literacy. The titles in NetLibrary were purchased with the idea of expanding the public library's non-fiction collection, so topics of general interest will be found here. Searching can be difficult. I usually make use of the "Related Topics" suggestions on the right of the search results page. You might like to see other participant's blogs to see how they fared and how they got results--try this word & this search. The main positive thing about this resource is that it is there, 24/7, so you don't have to wait for an interlibrary loan. I hope you'll give it another try, but I understand if you don't want to take the time. Thanks for trying.
