Sirs Discoverer 2
I chose "Vatican City" and was impressed by the amount of information I found. There was even a contact information section for a Washington D.C. office for the Vatican City and the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See in Rome, Italy. The history section had a timeline style list of important events, which is a nice way to show the events to young people. The economy, government, geography/weather, population, and quick facts were also included. When I chose a map I liked that the name of the article from which the map comes was included as well as links to other articles related to the map. This is something students could use when doing reports on countries for Geography class. I was surprised to see a link to fiction in the "Database Features" column, so I tried that. There were links to various stories of fiction. In a sidebar there were links to fiction by genre and subject.

We think the Country Facts area is great for all ages. Did you notice the graphic organizers ready for teachers to use? And the fiction section--the only place we have short fiction to supplement curriculum, help students with reading skills, or offer short leisure reading. Thanks for the comments.
